About Three Cubs Therapy
Three Cubs Therapy was founded on a simple belief: the earliest years matter most, and great care should come to the families who need it — not the other way around. We are a home-based, mobile pediatric practice serving infants and toddlers from birth to age three across San Diego County. Rather than asking families to travel to a clinic, we bring therapy into the home, where children feel safe and where parents and caregivers can be part of every session.
"Three Cubs" is for my three kids. Raising them taught me something no clinic ever could: children grow best in the place they feel safest — home. That belief is the heart of this practice.

Meet Carolyn
Carolyn Plou Rodriguez, PT, DPT — Founder, CEO & Clinical Director Carolyn is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with 14 years of experience in pediatric care. She trained at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, one of the nation's leading children's hospitals, and has dedicated her career to early intervention — supporting children and families through the developmental milestones of the first three years. As Clinical Director, Carolyn leads Three Cubs Therapy's clinical program and personally oversees the quality of care every family receives.
Our team
Three Cubs Therapy is a team of licensed physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and early intervention specialists (infant educators), hand-picked and led by Carolyn. Every provider shares the same commitment: family-centered care, delivered in your home, built around your child. You'll always know exactly who is coming to your door before your first visit.
Our approach
We practice family-centered, routines-based care. That means your goals drive the plan, sessions happen inside your real daily life rather than a clinic setting, and we measure success by what your child can do when we're not there. We partner with the San Diego Regional Center through California's Early Start program, and we work closely with each family's service coordinator, pediatrician, and any other providers on your child's team.
